Description:

Category: Manufacturing: Equipment and Tooling Innovation

Company: Massivit

Description: The Massivit 10000-G is an additive manufacturing system designed to directly print industrial custom molds for composite components as well as large end parts. The system provides industrial tooling and manufacturing applications for the automotive, marine, rail, bath ware, sporting goods, aerospace, and defense industries. Its Cast In Motion technology leverages 2 proprietary thermoset materials: 1) a wash-away photopolymer gel and an isotropic, epoxy-based casting material.  It enables high-speed automated production of large, complex end parts plus industrial molds for composites, all in one system. It overcomes existing bottlenecks in composite manufacturing and offers on-site, sustainable production with industrial-grade materials.

ACE award finalists and winning entries will be announced in the ACE Pavilion in the Exhibit Hall on Tuesday, October 31, at 2 pm.

Winning entries will be presented in the CAMX Theater on Wednesday, November 1, at 12 pm.
